Where are we located?

Camp Tura is located in the heart of the upper Vipava Valley, just below the Nanos Plateau. The camp is set in a peaceful and unspoilt natural environment. The location offers a perfect sense of remoteness and tranquillity and a complete experience of nature. The campsite lies below the natural climbing wall Gradiška tura, in an unspoilt Nature 2000 area. You will be amazed by the beautiful view of the upper Vipava Valley. You will find yourself in a peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you will enjoy rest and various sports activities.

How to reach us?

We are located just a 20-minute walk from the centre of Vipava, with a beautiful view of the neighbouring villages. To reach the campsite, turn towards Gradišče in Vipava and climb up the 1.6 km long asphalted road.

Tent pitches

Open 365 days a year, Camping Tura offers 10 pitches for campers and 30 tent pitches. All pitches are equipped with electrical hook-ups. You can choose between shaded or sunny pitches. There is a well-equipped sanitary facility, a washing machine and tumble-dryer room, and a caravan storage area.

Activities

You can enjoy a wide range of active and varied activities without the use of a car. We are located in the immediate vicinity of one of the largest and most well-maintained climbing areas in Slovenia. The campsite is a starting point for hiking trails of varying difficulty and suitable for all ages. You can also rent bicycles at Camping Tura and explore the hidden corners of the Vipava Valley. The campsite also has tennis, basketball and football courts, a climbing wall, a bowling green and a children's playground.

The reception of Camping Tura also acts as an info point. Due to its small size, we are able to provide individual attention, information and advice on how best to spend your holiday. At the reception you can get all the information you need about wine tasting in the cellars of local winemakers, guided tours of challenging climbing routes, renting climbing equipment, paragliding, buying fishing tickets for fishing in the Vipava River and much more.

Camp Tura is a great base for day trips. You can hop to the sea or to the capital, to the famous underground caves and UNESCO-protected sites.
